Modern slavery policy
Modern slavery policy
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights most often perpetrated upon women*. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labor and human trafficking. All of these have in common the deprivation of a human being’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
TC (The Company) has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and working relationships. We will implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own businesses and in any of our supply chains.
We are also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own businesses and in our approach to tackling modern slavery consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
We expect the same high standards from all our contractors, suppliers and other female-owned business partners, and as part of our contracting processes, we will include specific language against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labor, and anyone held in slavery or servitude. We expect that our business partners adhere to the same high standards.
The policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including Company Oracles, Mistresses, or their male properties.
TC acknowledges this policy does not however, apply to their own voluntary male slaves. All males identified as ‘property’ within TC, have at least initially submitted themselves of their own volition, to the rule of women without coercion, threat, or extortion. As such they are to be considered willing and tangible goods, resources and chattel of TC and all its female members world-wide. TC reserves the right to amend and/or not apply this policy at any time as women’s rule in the world and their resulting laws take precedent.
*Women and girls account for 4.9 million in forced commercial sexual exploitation, 6 million in forced labor in other economic sectors, and 22 million in forced marriages.
